Founder & Managing Partner
Mark Barineau
Mark Barineau is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lionsmark Investment Group (“Lionsmark”). Mark leads the firm’s acquisitions, development and asset management efforts. Mark has over 30 years of real estate experience as an owner/operator.
Prior to Lionsmark, Mark was an owner of Radney Management & Investment, Inc. (“RMI”), a real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of workforce and affordable housing assets across the United States. Mark played an instrumental role scaling the company and grew its portfolio to over 2,800 units at its peak. In 2016, Mark sold out of his GP interests in RMI and founded Lionsmark. Soon after, in 2019, he co-founded Starboard Star Venture Capital (“SSVC”) a venture capital firm that is geography, industry and stage agnostic. To date, SSVC has raised and deployed over ~$25M of equity across 18 investment vehicles.
Mark is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization (“YPO”) and Chief Executives Organization (“CEO”). Mark served as the YPO Gold Chairman for the Gulf States Chapter from 2022-2023. Since 2017, Mark also serves as an independent board member of the Steward Funds, a Houston-based mutual fund company that uses a proprietary screening process to select values and faith- based investing options for its clients.
Mark received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a B.S. in Physics from The University of the South (Sewanee). He splits time between Houston, TX and Palmetto Bluff, SC with his wife Meredith. They have been married for over 30 years and have two adult children.
Managing Partner
Hudson Barineau
Hudson Barineau is a Managing Partner at Lionsmark and helps lead the firm’s acquistions, development and capital markets efforts. Hudson joined back up with Lionsmark in 2024 after working with the company from 2020 – 2022.
Prior to Lionsmark, Hudson worked at Newmark on their Global Debt, Equity & Structured Finance team in the New York City office. The team has arranged over $30B in debt and equity placements across all asset classes and regions. Hudson focused primarily on equity placement with experience across programmatic joint ventures, recapitalizations, GP/LP-led secondaries, and platform investments. Hudson has closed over $1 billion of real estate transactions throughout his career.
Hudson started his career in the entertainment industry working at Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles. While attending business school, Hudson interned at S2 Capital where he worked across various aspects of the multifamily life cycle from acquistions, asset management and operations roles.
Outside of Lionsmark, Hudson serves as a Managing Partner at Starboard Star Venture Capital (“SSVC”), a venture capital firm that invests in transformative early-stage companies. Hudson helps lead SSVC’s investment and capital raising efforts. Starboard is geography, industry, and stage agnostic.
Hudson is a graduate from the University of Southern California and received his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate from Rice Business School. Hudson lives in Houston, TX with his wife Blesing.
Associate
Thomas Wiener
Thomas Wiener is an Associate at Lionsmark, where he supports the firm’s acquisitions, asset management, and market research efforts, as well as investor relations and deal marketing initiatives. He joined Lionsmark in the spring of 2025.
Prior to Lionsmark, Thomas worked at Partners Real Estate as an Associate on the Institutional Valuation Advisory team in Houston, TX, providing valuation services for institutional funds and large real estate portfolios across industrial, multifamily, office, student housing, and retail asset classes.
At Lionsmark, Thomas has direct hands-on exposure to industrial and multifamily investments, supporting transactions from underwriting through closing and into asset management. He brings an institutional, detail-oriented approach to investment analysis with an operator-oriented mindset focused on long-term value creation.
Thomas attended the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Real Estate and served as President and Team Captain of the Tulane Men’s Lacrosse program. He is based in Houston, Texas.
Senior Bookkeeper & Office Manager
Laura Beavers
Laura Beavers joined Lionsmark Group in October 2025 as Senior Bookkeeper and Office Manager, bringing more than 30 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and office operations.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin and brings a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and collaborative operations, along with a thoughtful, people-centered approach to Human Resources, employee relations, and employee well-being.
Outside of work, she volunteers with the Altar Guild at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and enjoys following singer-songwriters and cheering on her favorite football teams with her husband and two grown sons.
